I’m currently trying to help my grandpa fix this Iver Johnson’s Arms 5 shot .38 SPL. We can’t find hardly any information on this specific model. The only other markings aside from the manufacturer and caliber is a 6-digit code on the other side that’s either “J16040” or “Ji6040”. The code is right below the cylinder in the same spot the manufacturer’s info is on this side. We’d really appreciate if someone had a way to get schematics or a website/catalog that sells parts specific to this gun. Also, please lmk if there is a better place to post this. I’ll also post on r/handguns. submitted by /u/WholesomeLettuce
CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 9mm pistol. Saw it on sale and asked you guys what you thought and yall convinced me. Glad I listened. Now to worry about what to add/replace. I noticed the charging handle is on the stiff side, or maybe I'm a wuss. Will have a chance to shoot it soon. Thanks again. submitted by /u/TonightWooden4684
The ARMS SIR system was developed by the father of the M1913 “Picatinny” rail. It featured a free float aluminum and polymer handguard with customizable and removable M1913 rail sections that could be moved around based on the user’s preferences. I think they’re aesthetic asf and very functional. These were very forward thinking and saw a decent amount of use during the opening years of the GWOT before they were superseded by the cheese grater quad rails that just recently fell out of favor. submitted by /u/OKB1
Selling my AR pistols due to the new bs laws. I’m looking to replace with either 6.5 Creedmoor or 7.62x39 bolt action rifle with 16-18 in barrel. Anyone want to weigh in on which I should get? Want something as lightweight for long distances during hunting season. submitted by /u/bwinders001
30-06 is missing due to the fact that the 2 I have are 742 woodmasters which are now single shot heirlooms that stay in the safe submitted by /u/tryganon
I’m trying to find out what sniper rifle the guy one to the right from the left is holding. My friend said it is an Arctic Warfare Police but as far as I’m concerned police don’t use that in the UK submitted by /u/Sgc_07
Do you think I’m going to be able to get ahold of a Marlin 336 in 30-30 anytime soon? I know that it recently resumed production, and is probably going to be in low stock for awhile. I’m relatively new to firearm ownership, so any tips are appreciated. I’m based in CA btw. submitted by /u/Czechyurself1942

I was wondering if any of y’all knew or had experience checking an AR-7 in baggage and whether TSA would allow me to store my in loaded mags in the buttstock along with the other rifle components locked inside a hard plastic container or if I have to lay them separately in the case. submitted by /u/jsrobinson9000-2
These MBT triggers are awesome. For 89$ it’s hard to beat, I haven’t had the funds to buy the high end Guisleee type shit, but I’m good with these. Plus they send a cool sticker. submitted by /u/HardCrabSelby
so i was hanging out with my girlfriend and her grandparents over the weekend and i was talking about how i was really wanting a ruger, my girlfriends grandfather stands up, walks into his room and says here you go “holding a ruger in his hand” he told me he’s never shot it and he bought it from one of his buddies who had lost the paperwork. keep in mind my girlfriends grandfather resides in tennessee and i live in north carolina. i’m just asking here so i don’t get into any trouble, i’m 21 years old and curious onto which steps i need to take to open carry. submitted by /u/Ok_Ad_4135
Did a quick 50yd sight in and ran 200rnds through my new FPC today. I know some people don’t like them, but I’m really liking it so far. Gonna try to shoot some groups at 100yds next time I’m at my shooting spot. submitted by /u/TheYognautPC
Italian made, not that popular, the owner said he believes only 50 were ever imported into the the US, the serial number for this one was, 0050, they can be found a little bit more commonly elsewhere as the Italian navy did adopt it for several years but overall very few were made most were made in the late 50s Early 60s submitted by /u/EvillRook
I’ve looked into the Glock 19 MOS and Glock 43x, which both seem like perfect options for my needs (personal defense), but i’ve also heard about Shadow Systems and how their form and function is similar to the Glock. I do plan on getting optics and potential upgrades. I’ve personally never been a huge gun guy, but this world yields the need for protection and i think it’s time i man up and get what i need. What do you guys suggest? submitted by /u/3pointstonibbadore
Maverick 88 with slugs and Glock 17 gen3 with Hornady black 124grn. Just turned 21 a few months ago and starting to get into firearms, any tips would be appreciated. submitted by /u/Only_Neighborhood676
Took a 2-day performance handgun class from [redacted] a few weekends ago. Brought my Skydio 2 to get some footage while we ran the fun drills at the end of the course. submitted by /u/Mercerian
